Saarang - 2008 is the annual Cultural Festival of IIT Madras (Indian Institute of Technology – Madras). This year it was held from January 23-27, at IIT Madras, Tamilnadu.

This five-day festival is the traditional meeting place for the young and those young at heart. Saarang - 2008 was characterised by days jam-packed with events and competitions, sprinkled in with fun and exciting activities as well as professional acts. Saarang – 2008 attracted a crowd of more than 30, 000 and having big acts like Lucky Ali and Karthik, the Tamil playback singer sure helped!

Saarang - 2008 was bigger and better than ever before this time around. With new events like the Freestyle Dance that was such a hit with the crowds and the Saarang Village showing how tradition can march along successfully with the latest advancements. And, to top it all prize money for group events was substantially increased.
